Scenario

Some versions of Confluence Confluence 7.13.0 and 7.13.1 contain a bug that prevents some Velocity content from rendering, where . The root cause is the Confluence prevents some direct access to its own Active Object classes from being used. The versions with this bug are listed in the following Atlassian Bug ticket:framework entity classes, this results in a variety of errors rendering pages and general page load failures.

Resolution

To resolve this issue Confluence should be updated to a version that does not contain this bug. If this is not possible, Atlassian have also provided a workaround in the ticket linked above where the blocked classes are added to an ‘Allow List’.
