In our testing, uninstalling 'LaTeX Math’ by Appfire and restarting Confluence resolves this issue.

Disabling LaTeX Math Modules

Disabling the following LaTeX Math Modules allowed both ‘LaTex and MathJax' plugin and 'LaTeX Math’ to be run simultaneously:

• Resources for the editor (editor_latexmath)

• Resources for editor content (editor_content_latexmath)

• Resources for view content (view_content_latexmath)

• Add Math Inline macro shortcut (addinlineShortcut)

• Add Math Block macro shortcut (addblockShortcut)

Inline MathJax ‘Unknown Macro’

Due to a known Confluence bug, Macros which include a curly bracket ‘{' will be displayed incorrectly during edit, showing 'Unknown Macro’. See here fore more details:
