The JEMHC Scriptlets feature provides the ability to insert pre-defined message content in Ad hoc notifications. This feature requires Ad hoc notifications to be enabled and authorized for use.

Creating a scriptlet

  1. Navigate to Notifications > Scriptlets. Use the create action to begin the creation process.

  2. If you have not got a Preview Context to hand, go and generate one from an Issue Event in Auditing > Events

  3. Enter the Scriptlet Name, Language, Preview Content and Content, here its in Wiki markup.  The Preview button can be used to show the rendered result

  4. The rendered result, use the same icon to get back to edit mode:

  5. Hit submit to save:

    Now in the ad hoc pop-up, when scriptlets are available:

Using scriptlets

  1. Navigate to an issue where Ad hoc notifications are enabled and open the pop-up dialog.

  2. Opening the drop down, select the Paste Scriptlet Insert scriptlet content option:

  3. Use the filter to locate the Scripted required, and hit paste, it will generate content in the format of the text you editing, so wiki markup Scriptlets will result in formatted TEXT or HTML, as appropriate.  Velocity replacements are always run, so $issue is available etc:

  4. The content is injected, and Previewed:

  5. Again, in the Preview, use the same icon to flip back to edit mode:
