CSUM 3.0.0 for Confluence 6.4 and 6.5 released

Custom Space User Management version 3 is now here!

So what has changed?

Better caching, better performance

Legacy versions of CSUM did not cache groups very well at all.  This new version of CSUM makes significant improvements to group and user retrieval speed thanks to its new caching system.

From our own tests, once Confluence has warmed up its own user cache, CSUM only takes around 4 seconds to retrieve all members of a large user group (3000 users).

User interface reworking

A lot of effort has gone into making CSUM easier to use.  Previously, performing "bulk" actions required going to a different tab.  This is now all part of the same unified UI.  For example, removing multiple users from a group is as simple as selecting users with CTRL-click and pressing Remove user.

Management via Jira option removed

We took the decision to remove the option to manage users via Jira.  This is because modern versions of Confluence can do this anyway, and particularly well.  Its still works with CSUM once set up.  See the Atlassian guide on using Jira for user management in Confluence.

More to come!

This version lays down a lot of ground work that allows us to develop CSUM more easily.  This means fixes and improvements can be developed and released more quickly going forwards.

Lets get started!
