Group Rules

Summary

Group rules allow you to route emails based on the senders Jira user group membership. This means that if they have no groups or is a email only user then they cannot be matched by this rule.

Creating a Group Rule

Group Mapping field is not a Comma Separated Value (CSV). Only one value can be entered.

  1. Go to Profile > A Non-default Project Mapping > Group Rules and press New Group Mapping.

  2. This will then open the configuration for the New Group Mapping. Here you enter the relevant group and press Save.

     

  3. Now you will be able to configure the other tabs of the Group Rule. e.g. Issue, Email and Custom Field Defaults.

  4. Once everything is configured and saved, you will be able to view the Group Rule config within the Group Rule Summary.
