Upgrading JEMH to v5.x.x
To upgrade to JEMH v5.x.x for Jira 10.x compatibility, you must be using JEMH 4.2.x with Jira 9.13.x. For more information on manually upgrading Jira, please see: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver100/upgrading-jira-manual-1442845080.html
To get to Jira 10 you must go through Jira 9: Jira 9.x → Jira 10.X
To get to JEMH 5 you must go through JEMH 4.2.X: JEMH 4.1.X or lower → JEMH 4.2.X → JEMH 5.x.X
Failure to upgrade through 4.2.x
Failure to follow the above upgrade path will lead to database inconsistencies that prevent JEMH from starting/functioning - old upgrade tasks have been removed in 5.x.x.
All support queries for this scenario will be directed to this page. There are only two remedies:
a) Happy Path
Start your upgrade path again, using Jira 9.13.x with JEMH 4.2.x, then upgrade Jira to 10.x
b) Unhappy Path
Failure to follow the upgrade path has impact. We do no provide support to ‘fix’ databases that have partial schema updates applied. The only remaining remedy is to completely remove all JEMH data and start again. The exact methods of removing database tables vary by database. As a starting point, see Completely remove JEMH configuration database tables.
If you have not first upgraded to JEMH 4.1.x or lower, please see the following:
