This month we've decided to increase the data allocation to plans to primarily allow lower tier customers more headroom.

About Plan Limits

Just to recap, JEMHC allocates a certain amount of Messages and Data via Plans.  These plans are primarily there to safeguard the JEMHC platform from runaway processing, and as you cannot limit what you do not track, JEMHC tracks all email processing, every email retrieved or sent counts, all data within any message read counts, any data pushed to JIRA counts.  The recently added additional lightweight transports like HipChat and SMS are FREE and don't count toward these metrics.

Exceeding plan capacity

When your instance goes through a set limit (see JEMHC Addon > Licensing > System Notifications > Usage notification warning threshold ) the JEMHC installation user and others you may have added through  JEMHC Addon > Licensing > System Notifications > Email Addresses are notified by email of that fact.

If you are on your production plan level, and capacity is exceeded, a further notification is sent and all inbound and outbound processing stop; you'll be required to purchase a top-up DataPack to continue.  For immediate purchases this is possible via credit-card/paypal.  We can generate a payable invoice that only requires a card on request.  Invoices can be generated for bank transfers but this takes days to complete, longer than you would probably like.

These DataPacks are not a 'core' revenue generator for us, they are an escape valve for customers with much higher than average processing requirements (more messages, more data, or both) - we see less than 1% of customers needing this on a monthly basis!
