Summary
This page is for customers considering migration to cloud.
Availability
We have a new version of CSUM for Cloud (CSUMC) that has been submitted and is available, however, we have found a bug that impacts the usefulness of the app and so DO NOT RECOMMEND migration at this time.

SIGNIFICANT BUG
Currently, the ‘user’ making CSUM space group changes must be a system-admin on the instance. Clearly this won’t scale and is an oversight. The expectation is that Space Admins are able to manage groups in the their spaces without further permission.
...
there are limitations (For example, delegated groups functionality is not yet available in Cloud). Please refer to the functionality list below for what features are available in the cloud version of CSUM.
For documentation, please refer to our https://thepluginpeople.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CSUMC/pages/3544481795/System+Admin+Documentation#Installing-CSUM-app System Admin ‘getting started’ guide.
Cloud app functionality
To briefly cover what is and isn’t in the cloud version of CSUM:
Custom Space User Groups
CSUM Cloud current enables groups to be created and managed within a space.
Delegated User Groups
Are not implemented in CSUMC.
Auditing of group changes
Is not implemented in CSUMC, however, Atlassian have an auditing feature as part of the Premium offering.
LDAP group creation
Is not implemented in CSUMC.
Migration from Server
Currently, we don’t have a migration tool for the subset of ‘global’ configuration. The key ‘configuration’ for CSUM is the created groups and their permissions that are migrated as part of the ‘platform’ so don’t need migration separately. The only thing lost in migration is the global configuration for CSUM that needs to be redone (to restructure the CSUM group prefix/suffix).
