Blog from November, 2015

A minor update,

  • JEMHC-650 Notification Mapping group selection was mailing out to each user of a group (when entered) causing larger than expected usage to be reported :  JEMHC sends one outbound mail with all recipients on BCC to minimise email and data volume
  • JEMHC-645 Limit group member listing result to the first 20  : The group lookup in Notification Mappings now also support auto-complete.
  • JEMHC-643 Mail sender always added a watcher : During comment, users were getting added as watchers, now the JEMHC Profile field "Add JIRA Reporter as watcher" is renamed to "Add JIRA Sender as watcher" and will be used to control whether the sender of a mail should be added during create and comment

Descriptor update

Accessing JEMHC will show:

This change is currently minor, its about showing a post-install page, which will currently route to the JEMHC config page, follow the link and accept to get current.

New Features etc

  • JEMHC-633 - Getting issue details... STATUS  Support Time Zones when setting DateTime custom fields through Directives - see How to use Directives to set a date time that is relative to a nominated time zone.
  • JEMHC-644 - Getting issue details... STATUS  Add warning to group notification when the 'workaround' is not set (requires for all user/group/email search operation JEMHC)
  • JEMHC-634 - Getting issue details... STATUS  Better support attachment inclusion by tagging attachments when sent, this will address the common case of a textual comment being edited overtime interspersed with attachments being added, historically, individual updates may have been sent, and/or dur to the time-duration spent editing, some attachments may not have been included in notifications, with this change, one notification should contain all attachments added that have not otherwise been sent.  NOTE:  For this to work "Require Comment To Notify" must be set in the JEMHC > Notifications > Issue Notification Mapping (edit each mapping to see)
  • JEMHC-622 - Getting issue details... STATUS  A lot of time is spent trying to notify new JEMHC evaluators of some common problems with mail setup after 'starter' evaluation plan limits (messages /data) have been reached.  This has now been automated for cases where 50% or more messages or data have been consumed by 'maintenance' traffic.  No manual follow-ups will be done from this point forward.
  • JEMHC-614 - Getting issue details... STATUS  Handling of inactive users.  From this point forward inactive users will not receive notifications.
  • JEMHC-606 - Getting issue details... STATUS  Helper util method to add more recipients - see Add recipients by Velocity script.
