There are some configurable options which allows the users to personalise SU to fulfil small obstacles which they encounter with the default settings.

SINCE v1.9.3 SU Exit Page URL | The users are able to configure the path to which they want to be re-directed back to. By default, SU would re-direct the users back to Jira’s Dashboard but now you have the control over being directed to any personalised location. | /secure/admin/user/UserBrowser.jspa The above path will re-direct the user back to the User Management screen |

SINCE v1.9.5 Session Timeout (in minutes) | The session timeout value was set to 5 minutes in which the users who entered the SU mode were not able to exit the SU mode after 5 minutes. | Value can be present in minutes and must not exceed the value of 2147483647. Setting the value to 0 would result in the default value (5 minutes) being applied |
