Tasks

When CSUM schedules a bulk action (For example, A CSV upload for bulk addition/removal of users), the Task is scheduled. This allows users to continue using CSUM whilst these ongoing background tasks run.

In the Tasks tab, the Type displayed indicates which type of bulk task has been scheduled:

Type

Description

Type

Description

addMembers

CSUM CSV file upload, used when the file uploaded is for adding the csv members to the csv groups provided.

removeMembers

CSUM CSV file upload, used when the file uploaded is for removing the csv members from the csv groups provided.

groupRename

When a Group rename is scheduled, the ‘renamed’ group is a new group that requires permissions and group membership from the old group to be copied over. (This is more performant as a background task due to lack of Confluence group rename API’s).

The Table displays current status of the task, and is periodically updated to provide feedback on the task.

Viewing more information

By selecting ‘Info’ on an entry in the table, you can view more information on the scheduled task, including successful and failed values (This applies for CSV file upload tasks. For group rename, the content permission transfer is either successful or unsuccessful).

Any relevant information from the task is displayed in the ‘Info’ pop-up.

For the latest CSV task scheduled, there will also be an option to ‘Download’ the CSV file used.
