Excluding Inbound mail recipients
Introduction
JEMHC has the capability to exclude incoming email recipients. As an administrator you may have a reason to block a specific address or range of addresses from being processed as email recipients. Recipient exclusions can be configured from the JEMHCloud administration area or at a project level via project settings as a project administrator.
To access the recipient exclusions configuration press Exclusions within the JEMHC navigation bar and then press Exclude email recipient.
Creating a new exclusion
Initially, no recipient exclusions rules are defined. You can create a new recipient exclusions rule as you need to by pressing the Create button.
A single recipient address or a range of recipient addresses as a Regular Expression can be entered into the address field to be excluded. In the below example, Bob should never be accepted as an email recipient and his email address should always be excluded. If you wish, a reason for exclusion can be provided for your own future reference. By default the exclusion is scoped globally - this means that it applies for all projects. The rule can be scoped to a specific project by selecting one via the Project drop-down.
After pressing Save on the new recipient exclusion regexp popup, the new exclusions rule will be shown in the list of all recipient exclusions rules. You can filter rules by their project scope via the Project drop-down menu at the top of the page.
Exclusion actions
Once a Exclusion has been created there will be some actions that can be performed. These actions are:
Edit
This will open the Edit configuration for that Exclusion. Here are you are able to change the Project, Address (Exclusion value), Reason and whether the exclusion is enabled.
Copy
This will create a duplicate of the exclusion.
Delete
This will delete the exclusion, meaning that emails with this subject will be able to create and comment on issues.
