Excluding message senders or recipients
Summary
Within the Profile you are able to define a Include and exclude Regexps that will match on specific senders/recipients and this will either allow them to create/comment on issues or will be excluded from creating/commenting on issues.
Senders are determined by the Sender Address Headers configuration found via Profile > Project Mapping/Rule > Email Only Users as per: Email only users | Sender address headers .
Profile specific Include and Exclude configuration can be set by going to:
JEMHC > Profiles > (Cog)
Then pressing edit on the Profile page:
Once here, you can scroll down and you will see Included Senders, Excluded Senders, Excluded Recipients and Profile Exclusion Action.
Included Senders
Any users that matches a Regex defined will be allowed to create and comment on issues. This is a CSV list and this means that Multiple Regexps can be defined by having a Comma placed between each Regexp.
If a Included Sender is matched it will override the Excluded Senders outcome.
Excluded Senders
Any Senders that matches a Regex defined here will not be able to create or comment on issues. These emails can either be Dropped, Ignored (left in mailbox) or Forwarded (Sent to Forward User defined in Profile). These outcomes are defined by Profile Exclusion Action which can be found in Profile.
Excluded Recipients
If there are any Recipients that matches a Regexp defined here will result in the email being either Dropped, Ignore (left in mailbox) or Forwarded (sent to Forward User defined in Profile). These outcomes are defined by Profile Exclusion Action which can be found in Profile.
Profile Exclusion Action
This is used to define what should happen to the emails that have an address that matches either Excluded Senders or Excluded Recipients.
