Unsubscribe from notifications

 

Why am I receiving these notifications?

You have received notifications due to one of the following:

  • You have recently been in contact with the company (site) listed in the notification you were sent. (To find your site, you can click the unsubscribe link, and the rendered form will show the Atlassian site name). Most commonly, these notifications are due to customers raising support tickets with a site.

  • You are a Jira user listed in your sites JEMHC Profile or JEMHC system notification configuration.

I no longer want to receive these notifications

Notifications are on a per-issue basis for issue notifications, meaning you will need to unsubscribe for each issue you no longer want to receive notifications for.

Please follow the steps below to unsubscribe from notifications:

Click the ‘Unsubscribe’ link in the email notification sent to you:

This will send you to the Unsubscribe page. Here, you will be required to confirm your email so we can send you an unsubscribe link:

Note: It is important to understand here that you have not yet been unsubscribed. You will still need to use the unsubscribe link sent to your email address provided.

 

If the email matches the address we sent the notification to, you will be sent a new email containing a unique unsubscribe link.

This link is unique, and will be consumed once opened. We advise not sharing the notification, once the link is opened, the original unsubscribe recipient will be removed from notifications.

 

Step 4 : Unsubscribe success

After opening the link, you will be successfully unsubscribed from notifications for that issue.

If you experience any errors, we advise reaching out to the Atlassian site listed through their own support channel, including a screenshot of the unsubscribe page. The Atlassian site name is listed on the unsubscribe page sent in the 1st email notification.

 

What notifications can I unsubscribe from?

Email recipients have the ability to unsubscribe themselves from standard issue notifications.

Notifications sent to JEMHC Profile recipients and JEMHC system notification recipients will also be given an unsubscribe link in the bottom of their email notifications.

There is a related internal ticket (https://thepluginpeople.atlassian.net/browse/JEMHC-3364 ) to provide the ability for Jira users to unsubscribe from Issue notifications.

 

Do all notification types send unsubscribe links?

JEMHC AdHoc and Post Function notification types do not include per-user unsubscribe links due to the single notification for multiple recipients approach. Only the default notification mapping emails are subject to include unsubscribe links.

 

I need to receive notifications again

In order to receive notifications again, please reach out to the Atlassian site listed.

Please note:

  • If you are re-added to an issue, you will start receiving notifications again.

  • If you are involved on multiple issues, unsubscribing will only remove you from the related issue. A new unsubscribe requests is required for each issue using the relevant unsubscribe link sent in the original notifications.
