Preview Context

Summary

Jira sends a JSON webhook payload to JEMHC for each issue event that occurs. JEMHC uses the event content to generate notifications. This data can be stored as a Preview Context which can then be used to preview notification Templates at edit time.

Creating a Preview Context

  1. Go to Auditing > Events and locate an issue event that has been processed

  2. Press Create Preview Context on the relevant Audit Event

  3. Once created you see a popup where you can view the Preview Context (If needed)

     

  4. The Preview context can then be found within Notifications > Preview Contexts

 

Preview Context Functions

Once a Preview Context is created you will be able to perform a couple of functions. These functions are:

Edit

This allows you to modify the Name of the Preview Context and the JSON Data that has been saved.

Copy

This will create an exact duplicate of the Preview Context.

Export

This will export the JSON data as a txt document. This may be used when providing the Event data to ppl support.

Delete

This will remove the Preview Context from JEMHCloud.
