Configuring email only users notifications

JEMHC allows email only users (Email addresses that do not relate to an existing Jira User) to receive email notifications for issues that they are involved in.

Allowing Email only users to be notified

  1. When editing your email notification mapping(s), head to the Audience section.

  2. Under the ‘Audience’ section, Select either Email Users or Email and Jira users within Target Audience.

  3. This will then allow you to populate the Audience Address Custom Fields setting with the Custom Fields that contain the Email Addresses.

 

Which Custom Fields should be chosen?

By default, JEMHC creates 3 custom fields for email only users:

  • Email Sender Address

  • Email Sender Name

  • Email Participants

If you have chosen to configure your own custom fields within Profile > Project mapping > Email Only users then select these values instead.

 

After saving your configuration changes, any email only users populating the chosen custom fields will be notified against the matching notification mapping.
