Comment (Project Mapping)
Summary
This is where you define the Comment visibility settings. Allowing you define the Project Role than can see the comment and if Agent comments should be Private or Public.
Configuration Options
Core/Software
Viewable By Role/Group
This is the project Role/Group that Comments will be restricted to. Only users with this Project Role/Group will be able to view the comment.
Service Desk
These options only apply to Service Desk projects. Please refer to Commenting on Service Management issues using JEMH for an explanation on Jira Service Management user commenting behaviour.
Agent comment visibility
Agents must have have the Application group “jira-servicedesk-users” and the “Service Desk Team” role in the project.
The visibility of comments created by Agent. Current options are:
Public
Private
Collaborator comment visibility
Collaborators do not have the Application group “jira-servicedesk-users” (eg they have software), but do need the “Service Desk Team” role in the project.
The visibility of comments created by Collaborators (any user with application access). Current Options are:
Public
Private
If a Collaborator is actually involved in the issue as a Request Participant, their comments can only be public, because they are acting as customers.
Add Uninvolved Senders
Adds uninvolved Senders as Request Participants. Requires Profile > Security > External Customer Comments Enabled to be enabled.
