Comment Security

Comment security is just related to comments and has no relationship or ties to Issue Security.

When adding a comment, a user has the ability to set a comment level security value:

JEMH Can likewise set comment security, but does require Profile > Directives to be enabled and Profile > Field Processor is present to process the directive.

Default Comment visibility

Optionally, a default comment visibility can be set. JEMH can be configured through Profile > Security > Issue Visibility to refer to a visibility role, e.g. 'Developers'. If JIRA has enabled groups for comment security, they can be used here too, if JEMH allows it.

Directive controlled visibility

If desired, and enabled, remote users can set the comment visibility level through the viewable=role directive:
